Well, I got schooled in a few things here. Mainly, there is good #canadianwhisky out there! I decided to take a chance, & try something new. Gonna have a lot of downtime these coming weeks. I figured that maybe I learn to like a #canadian whisky. Turns out, we were #fastfriends, me & #pikecreek #pikecreekwhisky. This might be my favorite #whisky #whiskey I’ve had! The #rumbarrelaging was a clue that I might like it, since rum has been my new thing lately. But, I didn’t want to leave whisky entirely, not when it’s still a relatively new liking of mine, like 4 years. I’m nearly 50. Whisky & I got a late start. I just always drank vodka, because by and large, it’s simple & uncomplicated. About 4 years ago, I wanted something more. I was surprised to discover that I liked Scotch Whisky! I was always told that was for developing tastes, & that one had to grow to like it. No, I liked it pretty much right away. It was other whiskies that I struggled with. Not anymore! And now, I have clear favorite, & it’s Canadian. I didn’t expect that to happen.
