#tbt to the first show I ever competed in. John Kemper Classic 4/1/17. It’s amazing to look back and see where it all started and just by looking at this picture - seeing how much I’ve improved mentally and physically. Also - how much goes into your look for the big day. Hair makeup etc - I learned quick what I like best and what won’t work again lol and most importantly, finding the right coach. This was the one and only show I did w a coach that was absolutely horrible. Never again... Fitness in general has helped me on so many levels. No matter what life throws at me, it keeps me calm and grounded but challenged at the same time. It has been a life saver in the most trying of times and helps me to stay motivated in everything I do. This is the first pic of many that I love to look back on bc it shows where I’ve been on so many levels and guides me to where I want to go now and in the future. No gym? No problem! The jump rope. Practical. BIG bang for your efforts. This is an old school leather rope. Why? Because I’m old.🤔 Here’s what you’re gonna do. Measure first. Then just go. If it’s been awhile or you never jumped before, give yourself a running clock of 5min. Play with the rope. On, off. That’s it. Allow your body to adjust. Otherwise, with a running clock of 10min - 20min, try either 30s on/30s off or 1min on/1min off the entire time. Lmk how you feel.😅 One of the reasons I LOVE the rope is because it’s self-limiting. Meaning, it’s hard to over-do it. Because, when you’re done, your done. Right now, we need to manage our intensity carefully. Too much is no good. The rope will up your intensity for sure.
