Today's video is a focus on a few pre-workout mobility drills I use and some points for them. Always start your workouts with some mobility to keep the joints strong and to keep a good range of motion for better results. Frog Squats - Keep both feet flat, chest up/back straight with elbows on the inside of your knees. Use elbows to apply pressure on your knees, pushing them slightly apart. Extend legs up keeping your torso in the same position and then move back to start. Work through a full range, getting as high and low as you can. -Targets all lower body joints, including hips, knees and ankles. Lunge with Rotation - Lunge forward bringing both knees to 90 degrees, andfollow with a twist over your front leg going as far as you can and keeping your chest up. - Again gets into the lower body joints as well as opening up your back. Groiner with Rotation - In a High Plank, step one leg forward and place the foot on the outside of your hand. From there twist up over your front leg and reach one hand up. - Targets the lower body joints, and focusing specifically on your hip flexor and back. Half Hindus - Start in a downward dog. Keeping your elbows in, press your head to the ground before bending the hips and bringing the chest up, skimming as close the ground as possible. - Targets the upper body joints now, including the hips, back, shoulders, elbows and wrists. Also gives a stretch up your core. Kicksits - Place your hands flat on the floor with your feet back. Knees should be inches from your forearms. Keeping your hands flat, twist one of your back feet to face side on and flat, while the other leg reaches through. Hips touch the ground the finish. - Targets your hips primarily, as well as your back and wrists. Kneeling Reach Through - Start in a table position. Reach one hand through the underside of your chest and as far as you can go.
